No! If you have never taken a dance step before, we have absolute beginner classes. However, if you have dance experience, we have intermediate and advanced classes for you as well. We cover all levels of experience.
No! We understand, that for adult students, life can get in the way of dance classes. It is not always possible to commit for a solid 8 weeks, 10 weeks, etc. We allow drop-ins for all classes. We have discounted class cards that allow you to purchase 10 classes at a time for a reduced rate. They are valid for one year.
No! To attend class, just join us at the time/date it is scheduled. Of course, we welcome a phone call or email in advance to let us know that you are planning to attend. Also, we can help guide you to the appropriate level class if you have questions.
You should wear clothes that are comfortable and allow for ease of movement. Clothes that allow the instructor to see form/lines of the body are encouraged.
If your have ballet or jazz shoes, bring them to class. If you do not, no problem, socks can be worn. If your inner dancer wants to wear sequins or tutus or sweats, it doesn’t matter, as long as you are safe and comfortable.
We are always looking for new, dance related activities. For example, we organize “field trips” to dance performances both locally and in NYC. We have also performed in the NYC Dance Parade in the past. We always welcome suggestions for fun dance events for studio involvement.
Bring your sense of humor and sense of fun. While we are serious about dance, we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We understand that most adult dance students are just taking classes for fun and fitness. We strive to cultivate that atmosphere.
Leave home any judgement or negatively. We are committed to providing a positive dance journey for all.
